1. Government Delivery: School Eye Health & Community Eye Health

EYElliance partners with governments to integrate eyeglasses provision within public health and education systems. School Eye Health programs train teachers or nurses to screen children for vision problems at schools and connect them with eye health professionals for prescription and provision of free eyeglasses. Community Eye Health programs empower community health workers to conduct basic vision screenings, dispense ready-made reading glasses, and refer more complex cases for advanced treatment.
